The Collaborative
Perl Learning Project was established for new Perl developers who want
to learn Perl by taking part in an open source project and coding an online
game. While the project is primarily focused for developers, it will also
be beneficial for people who will play the game (since it's free and Open
Source).

The
team headed by
moxliukas intend to create an online game to improve and learn
Perl programming language
skills in the process. The team consists of programmers who have experience
in a number of different fields so we can easiliy learn from one another.
Please read the FAQ below if you have any questions about how to join the
team or how to contact us.

The details of the game are yet to be decided as the project is still in
the planning status. The game will have an RPG style and is going to be
online (though we would like it to be multiplayer, it will probably be
singleplayer for the first releases). The game should be customisable,
so that other people could adapt our codebase for creating their own
games, but our main game theme will be somehow connected to
perlmonks.org (because
this project was born out of perlmonks.org ;)
